A Northern Light Chapter 48 Summary

This chapter takes place at the end of the flashback, the morning of which they found Grace Brown.

There was a busy supper service, and everyone but Carl Grahm and Grace Brown had shown up. Mattie remembered them, arguing about a chapel and they decided to take a boat ride first. Later Mattie saw Grace, when she got the letters and had forgotten about them until they hadn't shown up and it was all she could think about. Mr. Morrison said that he was waiting for a boat from Grahm Room 42, Mattie dropped a pot of boiling wated and it shattered.
