A Northern Light Chapter 47 Summary

Emmie Hubbard had shaped up, the house was tidy, and the kids were mostly clean. Weaver and Mattie went to visit his mom and Emmie after lunch service. The Loomis' found the pig. Emmie is making fruit pies and selling every one of them, while Weaver's mamma watched the kids. The elephant in the room was the auction, but they just danced around the subject. Tommy worked out a deal with Mattie's Pa that he help with plowing and clearing and he got payed in milk and butter. Weaver's mamma was tough she had straightened out Emmie Hubbard. Weaver wished there were such things as happy endings.
