A Northern Light Chapter 36 Summary

This chapter takes place in the flashback.

Mrs. Loomis had been helping the Gokeys over the past week, Weaver's momma too. Pa was going to take her back up to the Glenmore the next morning. Royal gave her a ring, and Mattie asked him if he loved her, "Well I bought you that ring, didn't I?" and he had been there for her, helping with the cows and saving many ffrom the infection. He had $10 saved up and so did Mattie, more coming, and Mrs. Loomis would help them, at the end of the summer they could make a start together, and Mattie said yes.
