A Northern Light Chapter 20 Summary

This chapter takes place during the flashback.

Mattie is over at her Aunt Josie's house dusting her figurines. She overhears a conversation with Alma McIntyre and her Aunt Josie. She opened a piece of mail to Emmie Hubbard, that said that Arn Satterlee was auctioning Emmie's land to reclaim tax money, and there was an interested party. (probably somone from the city) and Aunt Josie IS GOING TO FIND OUT WHO. Aunt Josie had to money to save Emmie and her kids but she didn't care about anyone/anything except for her figurines. Mattie then took her anger out on one of her figurines.
