A Northern Light Chapter 14 Summary

This chapter is in the flashback.

It starts off with Weaver helping Mattie study algebra for her exams so she can pass. He compares it with the dirivitive of a word. Then they walk to the trainstation where they meet Weaver's momma, selling fried chicken and biscuits. Mattie and Weaver helped for a little, Mattie took some to the engineer, and Weaver a lady in the window. Then someone begins to discriminate and asks him to take his bags, so Weaver does and throws and kicks the suitcase so everything spills out. He was going to get in serious trouble but Royal stepped in and said that his dad and 5 brothers, that he did not have, would be here any second to beat him up. While Weaver is being scolded by his mother, Mattie catches a ride home with Royal and his brothers so he can't pull anything again.
